Opening hours and match days
The visitor tour runs every day from 9 am to 5 pm, with last entry at 4.30 pm. Those hours apply to days without a match. On match days it closes several hours before kick-off, and the exact time changes with the fixture list. Visit on a day without a game, or early in the morning if your only free day has one.
What the visit covers
The tour is not led by a guide from start to end. You walk the route yourself, and staff in each area explain and answer questions. The route takes in the dressing rooms, the mixed zone where players meet reporters, the press conference room, the Maracanã museum and the walk of fame. Then you step out to the edge of the pitch, can sit on the substitutes’ bench and climb into the stands. Most visitors need between 40 minutes and an hour, and there is no time limit.

Combining the tour with a match
Because the tour shuts on match days, the stadium tour and a match visit belong on different days. The C2Rio Tours day pairs the stadium with Flamengo instead; the Flamengo museum itself is at the club’s headquarters in Gávea, in the south of the city.
