Fluminense was founded in 1902 in Laranjeiras as the city’s first football club, and today it shares the Maracanã with Flamengo. Its match information names the documents a foreigner can use, which makes buying a ticket yourself more realistic here than at the other clubs.

What Fluminense asks of a foreign fan

For the home games of the 2026 season the club applies the same rules each time. Face recognition is compulsory in every sector of the Maracanã. The registration runs on fluminense.bepass.com.br and has to be done before the purchase or the members’ check-in. Brazilians register with an ID card or driving licence; foreigners with a passport or DNI. The photo of the document has to be taken out of its plastic cover and against a plain background, and each person registers only once.

The ticket is then bought on futebolcard.com, using the same name, document number and e-mail address as in the registration. Each ticket needs its own registered holder, so buying for a group means entering everyone’s details.

Sale times and cancelling

Members check in first, in waves by plan, and the public sale follows a few days later. Online sales stay open until the end of the first half. An online purchase can be cancelled on the FutebolCard site within seven days, as Brazilian consumer law provides for distance sales. Packages booked through an agency follow the agency’s own cancellation rule, shown on its product page.

At the gate

  • Food and drinks cannot be taken into the stadium.
  • Flares, bangers and other pyrotechnics are banned, and fans who use them are removed.
  • The gates close at the start of the second half; after that, the police can refuse entry and the ticket is not refunded.

Going to Fluminense with a host

Both Alma do Rio reviews praise the hosts and the place in the stands. The 1★ review of the TSN Experiences guide describes a long wait for a group of thirty; the multi-club tours can be large, so ask about the group size if it matters.

“Maria was an excellent guide for the football game. I went by myself and her and her husband were really kind and answered all questions I had about Rio and everything related to the game. Meeting at a bar prior was also nice to do since it can get hectic inside.”
Pauline · United States · Aug 2026 Match with local hosts · Alma do Rio Experience
“Best local guides, who are real supporters, so we had a truly authentic experience. Seats next to the home ultras, best place to get the vibe”
Ildiko · Hungary · Aug 2026 Match with local hosts · Alma do Rio Experience
“Please avoid this guided tour. My friend and I followed all the instructions and arrived on time—actually even earlier. We communicated with the tour guide, Ricardo, who acknowledged seeing us, but then told us we were waiting for a group of 30 people. …”

Questions before you book

Can I buy a Fluminense ticket myself without a CPF?

According to the club’s 2026 match information, yes: foreigners register and buy with a passport or DNI. The face registration on fluminense.bepass.com.br comes first, then the purchase on FutebolCard with the same details.

Until when can I buy a ticket online?

For Fluminense home games, the online sale closes at the end of the first half. The public sale opens a few days after the members’ check-in, and popular games can be gone by then.

What happens if I arrive late?

The gates close at the start of the second half. After that the police can refuse entry, and neither the club nor the ticket seller refunds the ticket.

Is this site connected to Fluminense?

No. The site is independent and has no connection to any club, the CBF or the Maracanã. Club names only describe the games on offer.
